Ok the time has come again for another round in the 2010 Pro Am series. I am usually hyped up about this, but this time it kind of seems like it’s just another link in the chain as opposed to a real chance at getting my Formula Drift license/Pro Am invite. Either way I will give it 110% just like I always do, but it’s just not same fun feeling I had in the past.
I still feel a lil anguish toward this series from the last round, which is why I don’t feel as good as I normally would. Ehh whatever, I am pretty much over it at this point 2010 is done and 2011 is looking promising.
Well enough of the mental sob story, on to something positive. I want to give a special thanks to my sponsors Infinit Graphx ( infinitgraphx.com ) and Stealth Custom Fab ( stealth-custom-fab.com ). As well as my some of my loyal supporters this year, The Frazelle family, Jesse, Andrew, my Dad and especially my girl Kelly. Really without your encouragement and help I wouldn’t be able to do any of this.
I went saw the Avatar re-release with new footage last night and I thought I liked the original movie a lot. The new footage explained so much that the original release did not… I can’t wait for the full movie Blu-Ray release later this year!
The final scene with Tsu-tey was so much more fitting than the scene where you just see him fall. What he said fit the movie so well too. Also the school scene at the beginning of the movie really helped explain why the Navi were no longer on good terms with the humans.
All in all I thought it was a better movie than the original, and if you go see it you have to see it in the Digital Imax 3d theater. LOL nothing compares to that movie screen!
Well after 8 days of having no internet AT&T finally got our internet back up and running. It took 2 inside techs and 2 outside wire techs to fix the problem.
It’s funny how much i really missed the net, and even more funny how much other people missed me having it. I guess it goes to show how much I do for people, despite the fact I never feel like anyone appreciates it.
Anyways my girl Kelly and my friend Jesse are going to Thunderhill on Tuesday for the Limitless Motorsports Skid pad event. I wish I could drive on the full track but money is lacking right now. At least they will get have a good time out there and I will play “pit crew” haha.
So this video is from Round 3, if you read a few posts back you know that I feel like I was judged unfairly at this competition for not even making it past qualifying.
The video is of the competition only I am not in it all, but the unique aspect of this video is the fact that the judges had a camera on them the whole time. This allows us to see and hear what they had to say about the driver’s… needless to say there was a lot said by the judges that didn’t make sense to myself or anyone else that has watched the video.
Basically you hear how people with above stock horse power were being penalized for having that much power, while under powered cars which fell out of “drift” were given an advantage. I mean at one point you even hear one of the judges ask if they have time for a “one more time” battle. There is no way that any of us were judged “fairly” at this competition by these particular judges.
Take a look and listen carefully to the judges conversation, I am sure you will see what I am talking about.
Just got back from helping my dad out, earlier today a drunk driver hit my dad while he was riding his motorcycle… My dad is fine, he is bruised, cut, swollen and sore tho.
So to all the DRUNK DRIVERS out there I would like to say to you… FUCK YOU!!!! YOU FUCKING WORTHLESS ASSHOLES!!!!
So here is a video from Round 2 of the 2010 Formula Drift Pro Am series, I took 4th place at this event. Sorry it’s a bit late… I know I have been lacking on blog entries for a while now.
Anyways the video is more like a TV episode, so with that being said the video is 20+ mins long and even has a commercial right in the middle of it.
Had a great 4th this year! Set off some good fireworks and had some great food too! I am glad that it was good day without any drama! I guess that’s what happens when you actually have good family and friends around you lol.
Anyways that is all I have to report at this time haha.
Well Yesterday I went to my 3rd competition at Thunderhill and basically got FUCKED!
That is my general opinion on it, and I am entitled to it! Funny thing is there are a lot of other people who believe I got the shaft as well. So the way I feel about it is not just in my head. I can quote one driver who said this to me after the “Top 16” was announced… “I can’t believe I made it and you didn’t!”
This was the 1st comp all season that my car was driving right and I felt 100% confident with the cars handling. All day everyone was telling me I was killing it out there during practice. Then I make my 3 qualifying runs, 1st run was not great but should have made a medium-low score, 2nd run was good and my 3rd run was good.
So how does another driver that spun out on 2 runs and then makes a decent at best 3rd run make it to the “Top 16” and I don’t?!
Politics or bad judging?! Who knows… but I do know there are others that have the same feelings I do about what happened at yesterdays comp and other comps prior to this. So with that being said, my day will come and there is nothing you can do to stop me.
Ok so after about a week of fighting with my lack of money I was able to scrape together enough to go to the Thunderhill full track event tomorrow. Thanks go out to Jonnie and my girl Kelly for helping out with paying for the trip!!! Without their pushing I wouldn’t have been able to go. I can’t wait cuz it has been 6 months since I last drove my car, o man am I feenin for some drift.
