Weight loss February 22, 2011 at 1:51 pm

At the beginning of 2011 I decided to lose some weight. At that time I was the heaviest I have ever been in my life, however I was also the tallest I have ever been as well at 6’7″ so that kind of equaled out my weight to some degree. That being said I wasn’t happy with my general health status and wanted 2011 to be a better year for my health and eating lifestyle.

Another factor that contributed to my decision to lose weight was the fact that I was trying to shave off as much “free” weight from my drift car as I possibly could. So what better way to get the weight down than to lose some myself? lol I figured I would just change my eating habits first and then once I became accustomed to eating better then I would start working out. With just eating better only, I started at 297 pounds and as of today I am 267. Needless to say I am pretty happy with my weight loss so far.

Now I just gotta start working out… lol yea easier said than done. But it has to be done to get where I want to be health wise.

Great Progress!!! January 18, 2011 at 5:20 pm

So this past 3 day weekend we made a lot of progress on my S13’s cage!

Jonnie came by with his new bender, we mounted it to my garage floor and started bending up some DOM tubing. At the moment the front half of the cage is complete, minus the door bars and a few other small things. Once those few things are done we can work on getting the back half of the chassis painted and then its on to wiring. So if all goes to plan it should be done in 2-3 weeks, hopefully by that time we will have a Pro Am schedule.

So far 2011 has been going great, Kelly and I have been eating better and losing weight which is helping our outlook on 2011. A few other things have been falling into place so again we are really happy about that! I just hope that this good streak continues for the rest of the year… but only time will tell how this will turn out. That being said Kelly and I excited and can’t wait!

I also need to make sure it’s said a million times, but thanks to Jonnie Fraz of Stealth Custom Fab and Jason Roberts of J’z Kustomz!!!! I can’t tell you two enough how thankful I am that u have been helping me thru this. And last but certainly not least I would like to thank my real family and friends who have been there for me since day one!

I’ll leave u with some pics of the cage progress.

The new year and the 2011 Formula D Pro Am season… January 6, 2011 at 12:18 am

Ok so thanks to some much needed sponsorship money I will be able to have a 2011 drift season! As usual thanks goes to Jonnie Fraz of Stealth Custom Fab and a new sponsor this year is my freind Jason Roberts of J’s Kustomz. Without their help this year would not happen at all!

Jason is painting parts of my S13 at the moment and some time in the next few weeks Jonnie Fraz and I will start on the front of half of my roll cage. Once the cage is done Jason will pain the chassis of the car and I will finish the new chassis wiring. Hopefully it won’t be a mad dash to the finish, but i doubt it lol.

As for Christmas and the new year, it started off with good friends and family! So I am thankful for that. I started eating better and doing things to get my health back to where it needs to be, which has been needed for a long time now but I have just been too lazy to actually do something about. The catalyst for this was something that happened just before Christmas, I won’t go into detail but let’s just say it made me see that I wasn’t happy with my current health state any more.

Also I am hoping that 2011 will be a much better year than 2010 was… so far the days leading up to 2011 seemed very promising! hahaha Kelly and I can’t wait!

Anyways that’s all for now, if all goes well in 2011 then there will be more of these “happy” blogs on here lol.

SEMA 2010! October 28, 2010 at 6:39 pm

Well I guess I should be excited that SEMA is almost here and I will be attending…

But the reality is I am rather upset that I have not gotten any recognition whatsoever. I see so many other people in the drift world picking up sponsors and financial backing, who to be honest can’t drive that well and really have a bad attitude about this sport and what its really all about. Don’t get me wrong tho, there are a few people who more than deserve the sponsorship they have received. But still there are a few who have not done enough in this sport to yield that type of attention and backing.

I really thought writing about this would make me feel better… but really I am just more upset now than before I started writing. Ehh I guess this is just life, its not fair… NOT EVER! O well drifting still makes me happy. I will never lose the love for this sport!

Anyways that’s all for now. I’m out, catch me at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Monday – Wednesday.

The reality is… October 6, 2010 at 6:35 pm

That I cannot go to the Formula D Pro Am Nationals this weekend.

I wasn’t really upset about this until just now, but the reality of the situation has finally set in. This past year was dedicated to me doing well and getting this invite to Pro Am… I get the invite and I can’t go cuz of lack of money?!?!

I really don’t know what to say except that I am not happy right now. I guess all I can do is save my money and get ready to do this all over again next year. Maybe by the time Pro Am comes back around next year I will have some more financial backing… HOPEFULLY!

Anyways that is all for now, I just needed to get that off my chest.

Round 4 Videos and Pro Am Nationals… September 25, 2010 at 11:22 am

First the bad news…

Unless I get some kind of financial help RIGHT NOW I will not be able to go to the Pro Am Nationals. I just don’t have the money to buy all of the parts required to get my car up to Pro Tech specs before the event, which is coming up October 7th through the 9th. I am not happy that I have come this far only to get side lined right at the end, but at least I know that I am good enough to compete at a decent level.

Now for the good news…

The Round 4 videos were released the other day and I have to say the footage is bad ass! The videos are about 17 mins each so if you plan on watching them plan accordingly for that amount of time.

I NEED SPONSORS!!! September 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm

So yea I managed to get my invite to the Formula Drift Pro Am nationals finally… the problem now is I need money to get my car ready in the next 2 weeks. Which is proving to be very difficult process lol.

If there are any companies or individuals out there that wish to contribute to my efforts please contact me ASAP!

2010 Rookie of the Year!!! September 5, 2010 at 3:43 pm

Been a few days since the last event, I managed to take 4th place and made my place into the Top 5 for the series points race. So what do this mean?! lol I am the 2010 Rookie of the Year for the Thunder Drift Formula D Pro Am series!!!

My car handled great except for some minor under steer at initiation, which was caused by my worn out Falken Azenis RT615 front tires. I really had no choice about running the old fronts since I am doing all of this with my own money and new front tires did not fit my budget. It wasn’t a huge problem for me tho, I just used a braking technique to force the car to do what I wanted it to do.

Despite how I felt before the event I feel dam good now, of course that is because I finally got the “fair” shot I wanted from the beginning. So now all my focus turns to getting the car ready for the Pro Am Nationals, with that being said I really need to find some more sponsors! 2011 should be crazy! I can’t wait!!!

Anyways I will leave you with a couple pics…
