Check this out, ran across it checking out tomei-p.co.jp. It looks like according to Tomei that the RB series has an issue with throwing too much oil up into the cylinder head under lateral G's causing oil starvation... I dunno if it's true or not tho.

RB25 - oil flow issue?

Not a huge issue, but if u use the greddy oil pan this problem is easily managed. However the crank snout that turns the oil pump is much more of a problem, the only thing is there is no way to tell which crank snout an RB motor has without taking the motor apart. From what I have read tho all the R34 RB motors do not have this issue.
