Ok I'll start off this forum with mod list and some shots from before until now. This car is my daily beater it gets 300 miles a day so I didn't use genuine honda stuff on most of it as I knew it would take a beating by the miles I put on it every day.

After that came a 1999-2000 Civic Front end conversion 11-5-2005.
The parts were bought and painted 7-2005 but not installed til 11-2005

Picture this car silver, with black rims and a chrome lip. Now picture it rearending another car. Thats what happened to my friend. I feel bad for him cuz he just got married and was coming back to work after dropping his wife off at work. Hes ok, but his bumper is gone and his motor is smashed.

Well, for an update on my coupe after 113,000 miles and a year and half of driving my used LS motor finally started to rod knock about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Which forced me to rebuild this motor, it wasnt a huge problem except for the unexpected money i had to spend. I'll post up some pics of the rebuild later, the ony problem is i don't have many pics since I was in a time crunch and had to get it done asap. The chassis now has 267K on it now and still going strong except for the problem below.
I had to remove my Suspension Techniques sway bars since the rear bar ripped my sub frame loose. Below is a quote from my post about the sub frame problem.

Finally pics of the rebuild process, I only have pics of the long block assembly. The block and head were sent to Comptech, the head was cleaned, surfaced, has all freash seals and a fresh 3 angle valve job. The block, pistons, rods and oil pump were hot tanked, all plugs were removed and oil passages were cleaned. Finally the crank was polished.
Installing the main bearings and checking clearance's using plastigage.
Tq'ing down
Next I removed everything, checked the plastigage then wiped it all clean in preparation for assembly lube on the the bearings.
Now it rod and piston time the clearance's were checked prior to installing them, now time for the rings and assembly lube the bearings.
Now time to line up the ring gaps to factory spots and put the ring compressor on.
Tapping the piston and rod in with the end of a rubber hammer.
2 down 2 to go.
Rod caps installed and tq'ed to factory specs using light oil on the threads for proper tq.
Now that all of the rods/pistons are in time for the factory head gasket and head.
Freshly cleaned and rebuilt head
Lining up the dowel pins on the block to the head and tq'ing the bolts with moly lube on the bolts.
New factory water pump time
Cleaned oil pump and new oil seal installation
Liquid gasket on the oil pump, time for more tq'ing
Poored motor oil down in the piston holes to lube the wrist pins, installed windage tray, oil pickup and oil pan.
Long block assembled and ready to get the rest of the parts put on it.

LOL me have money? I wish I blew all of my xmas money on fixing my motor. it ended up being about $800 to rebuild and have the machine work done.
