I work for autozone, and we always get people who do their own work on their cars. They'll come in with a part they pulled, and ask me what it is. Im not a professional mechanic so I tell them i don't know what it is. I go thrue so much trouble trying to find out what it is, to have them say I shouldn't be working there. I feel that if they are say something like that, and they don't know what it is, they shouldn't be working on their cars. I especially am NOT going to know anything about dodge rams, ford F250s, or Chevy 3500HDs. I am a performance guy, mainly for imports. I don't wear an ASE patch on my shirt, and me looking at the problem isn't gonna help.

Yea I hear u, when u go there all the people should do is get u the part u ask for, just like u said ur not an ASE mechanic. Thats how it is all over tho... people just expect someone else to know what everything is, no one wants to do their own research they want everything spoon fed to them.

Yea, but the problem is, if i do that, i might have rocks thrue a window of a car i haven't started payments on, and end up with no job to pay the same car off. Im in a lose, lose situation. Very tempting though.
