If you looked at that 1st link it has the ratios for the W55,56,57 as well. These trans have the same case and are interchangeable with the W58. W57 has the same ratios as the 58, except its 5th is the same as the W50. So there are options for you to potentially get close to the ratio's you really want.
IMO (If I'm ever to do this) The W58 having the taller 5th gear makes it a nice trans match with a lower ratio final (r&p) in the diff, maintaining some freeway drivability. And with the lower ratio, the RPM drop when upshifting won't have such a loss of power/torque as it did before.
EDIT: I found this cool online calculator to do it for me. (& promptly spent way too much time on it.)

After some more thinking about it, another advantage a change in trans & rear end gear ratio's is the overall ratio. Which affects torque at the rear wheels in each gear. Which besides having a way stouter trans, when combined with the 'right' rear end ratio, I may be able to gain acceleration/power at the wheel due to the change in 'overall' ratio (overall ratio = Trans Gear Ratio X Final Drive/Diff Ratio). Without actually increasing the engine's overall power.
Changing the overall ratio affects how the torque is multiplied from the engine, through the trans/diff and put down at the wheels. That's how changing from a 4.3 gearset to a 4.7 gives much better acceleration, at the cost of top speed. More torque is available through the multiplication of it, but it takes more rpm to achieve the same speed as a trade off.
Also, since gear ratio IS a multiplier; when I get some more power (finally) the % of increased torque due to overall gear ratio (hopefully no decreases) will also apply. Meaning if I gain 10% more torque at the wheel with a stock 4ag 90hp/78ft-lbs, I still get that 10% gain multiplied by the new engine output... (so if cams give me 115hp/105ft-lbs, it's still 10% torque multiplication gain in that particular gear - just a larger gain due to the higher input).

18.18:1 - stock Altezza 3000lb/165whp (seems to be the average)
14.28:1 - TRD powered Altezza 3000lbs/210hp (guessing approx 210 whp, if flywheel power loss of approx 20% to wheels as calculated)
11.00:1 - my AE86 2300lb/209hp (weight is a guess/estimate, given the heavier motor/trans/diff but lightweight hood/hatch/etc)
