TRADED 12/12/2010
I recently sold my daily driver EK Civic and now I am using that money to build another daily driver. This one is a lil more involved than my previous daily because it was given to me for free as a shell only and was missing several things. Anyways I got some parts ordered up, so just like my other builds I will be taking pics along the way.
When I got the car it started out with some radiator support and fender tub damage but other than that it was a fairly straight shell.

Before I got it this was Doug's a.k.a. Sideways~s14 car, funny thing is I knew the owner of this car back in 2004. This is what it looked like when Doug owned it.
This is when Doug got his red S14 and started parting out this one and about a month later the car became mine.
This is what it looked like when I brought it home back in August.
Some parts I took off the car that were really beat.
Picked up a trunk lid from a guy I know to replace the beat lid it had on it.
Motor is still in it but no tranny, only problem is the motor needs to be rebuilt but for free I can't complain lol.
Now you can see the radiator support damage... not terrible but I already bought a kouki radiator support for $40 to replace this one
Went to Pick n Pull yesterday and got some clean black interior parts they only cost me $12.
Got a back window from Doug's Red S14 after he wrecked it, lol im using 2 of Doug's old cars' to make one for me.
B Magic Kouki S14 front fender's that I bought when I got the kit for my S13.
11Lbs flywheel and a brand new clutch kit that I ordered by accident lol late night ebay ordering owns me! I still have a good clutch kit but forgot all about it when I bought this setup.
WOOT!!! Nissan Kouki Corner lights, JDM K's grill and Vertex style Kouki brick lights.

Got some more work done today and picked up some more parts last night from a guy in San Jose. I picked up pretty much a full black Kouki interior minus seats, dash and a center console not bad for a $100. So today I yanked the nasty ass blue carpet out of the car, then started cleaning the black interior parts and then I pressure washed the new dark gray carpet. I can't wait to get everything back in, even with the small amount of parts I put back in today the car looks so much better!
Pulled the blue carpet out and this is basically all the interior I was given with this car.
Here are the interior parts I picked up last night.
Door panels, they even came with the switches but they are not in the pics.
Here is a black dash i picked up a while back which was in great shape.
Now some pics of putting it all back together.
Done for the day I need to get a few more misc parts and I can put it all back together but for now this is how she sits.

LOL this is gonna be my daily driver so this is the car that won't slide... but it will look like it can hahahaha. If u wanna learn to slide I can teach u but it won't be in this car. The other solution is to get on yourself... s13's are cheap if you are patient enough you can prolly get one for $500 or less.

Got some more done today and also got some more parts ordered up too! I'll just let the pics do the talking on the progress.
Picked up some dark gray door handle's and a black ash tray.
Black face cluster.
Ugly ass blue door latches soon to be dark gray.
Pressure washed clean gray carpet, it still has a minor stain but a floor mat should cover that up no problem.
Door panels installed.
Carpet installed.
Installed the cluster, a/c control and vent. Don't mind the ugly blue steering wheel, I have a black one to replace it.

More progress... Pics do the talking! lol
Got the turning/signal stalks reinstalled and also the sterring column shroud.
Picked up a set of front seat belts and then pressure washed them so they wouldn't be so dirty.
Installed!
Yanked the stock rear bumper off so that next week when my kit gets delivered I can just start fitting everything.
Now for the really fun part cutting all the damaged parts off.
Radiator support is gone.
Now you can see the rest of the damage past the radiator support... basically the fender tub was pushed in a lil bit but nothing that some heat and hammer cant fix.
Jon and I decided the best way to get at the problem area was to pull the motor.
Heating the area to be hammered, and you can see area that was pushed in.
After a lil hammering you can see it's straightening right up.
More hammering...
After the rough hammering Jon and I started fitting up the Kouki radiator support i bought so we could get a general idea where exactly needs to be cut, filled in and then rewelded.

Small update, I have not had much time to work on the 14 since I am trying to get my 13 done for the event coming up so the only thing I have to update about is my kit was delivered last week. I ordered a Version Select Version I full kit from a vendor on Zilvia, and when they went to ship it they found the that the front bumper was damaged really bad. So they guy called my up and told me he would give me an Origin-Lab stylish front bumper for the same price, the cool part is the origin-lab bumper is the exact same style as the version select bumper I wanted in the first place. I only have pics of the front and rear bumpers but I'll post some pics of what kit will look like on the car.
Origin-Lab stylish front bumper.
Version Select version I rear bumper.
Here are some pics of the V.S. Ver. I kit on Chobz car and it's even the same color that I plan to paint my car!

Well it's been quite a while since I updated this thread... it's kind of hard to finsh a project when you don't have a job to fund it lol.
Anyways Jonnie and I went out to Davis on tuesday to pick up some parts for my 14. Hopefully Jonnie and I will have some time this weekend to cut out and weld in the new fender tub and rad support. After that Jason and I will start on the body work and paint. I am hoping to have at least the exterior of the car finished by early to mid May. Maybe if I can get some more money coming in I will have a motor and some wheels but if I can make it a clean rolling shell I will be happy for now.
Now onto the pics of the parts I picked up.
Stock non-sunroof headliner.
Passenger door since the one on my car looks like some one got hyphy on it lol
Dome light, visors and the correct year main power window switch for my car.
